Santa Clara County Youth Climate Initiative

The Santa Clara County Youth Climate Initiative (SCCYCI) is a

California Climate Action Corps

We have been fortunate for the last year to be partner with California Volunteers and the California Climate Action Corps  to support our programs focused on food recovery, greening school campuses, climate action and education. Our most recent fellows

Silicon Valley Youth Climate Action (SVYCA)

The Silicon Valley Youth Climate Action organization is a youth-led group that advocates for climate change education and policy in local school districts. They currently have teams in Cupertino, Sunnyvale, San José, Los Altos, Morgan Hill, and Santa Clara. They also have an advocacy team focused on California state-level policies and a transit team focused on transportation issues.  SVYCA helped plan and organize our first Environmental Literacy Summit and has been a great partner with SCCOE in this work. For more information, check out their website above.

The Community-Based Partner Hub serves as a central directory for community-based organizations who offer environmental education programs (in-classroom, field trip, overnight, etc.) throughout Santa Clara County, the region, and the state. The purpose of this directory is to increase equitable access to programs, foster collaboration, build capacity for educators, and establish consistency in programs alignment.

We’re grateful to The David and Lucile Packard Foundation and the Morgan Family Foundation for their generous support on this project. Many thanks to our partner, Green Guardians, for building the platform.
